Kilimanjaro is over! and we made it to the summit! horray!
I've made a trip report: and have broken it into 5 days (there was a 6th day, but it was a non-eventful!)
Have a read, look at the pics, enjoy, and be glad you weren't there on the mountain too :)
In pressing news: we didn't see Cheryl Cole, unfortunately, but maybe next time *cough*

oh and sorry for the spelling mistakes on the trip reports... i didn't work out how the spell checker worked until day five...
Hi, been looking at your blog for a while as i am training for my first triathlon! Enjoyed your report on Kilimanjaro espeacially as there has been alot of press with the red nose climb. Sounds really tough but i suppose it makes the triathlon training seem easy!!!! Look forward to hearing about your London Triathlon training!
brilliant news - first tri! which are you looking to enter?
Im doing the one at Stratford, the same course you did last year, any tips????
ohhh stratford how lovely! well it definitely didn't end up being as scary as i thought it would be. i really did imagine myself being farcically embarrassing in going the wrong way, breaking rules, tripping over other triathletes etc. - but the vibe was very friendly and relaxed. speaking to other tri'ers on the day, most people were worried about the swim, but i would say 30% of people were doing breaststroke - so the swim was pretty relaxed!! i watched one man who would get to the end of each lap and have a little rest before continuing! so you'll have a blast, really, and if the weather is any improvement on the rain from last year, you'll even more of a blast :)
